Privacy Policy
Nudge – The Smart Alarm for Apple Watch
Effective date: October 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Nudge ("the app") uses, where it is processed, and the choices you have.
The short version: Nudge does not collect any personal data. Everything the app needs is processed on your own devices. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.
Who we are
Nudge is developed and published by Zenoova ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, contact us at kellis@zenoova.com.
Data we collect
None. We don't run any server for Nudge, and the app has:
- no account and no sign-up,
- no analytics or crash-reporting service,
- no advertising and no tracking,
- no third-party SDK.
We never receive, store, share or sell information about you.
Data the app uses on your devices
To pick a favorable moment to wake you, Nudge uses the following data on your Apple Watch, and only with your permission:
| Data | Source | Why Nudge uses it |
|---|---|---|
| Heart rate and resting heart rate | Apple Health (HealthKit) | Compare your recent heart rate with your usual baseline during the smart window |
| Sleep data | Apple Health (HealthKit) | Help estimate a favorable moment to wake you |
| Wrist movement | Motion sensors (Core Motion) | Detect restlessness during the smart window, and sleep onset during a nap |
- This data is read and analyzed on your Apple Watch and never leaves it.
- Nudge only reads Health data. It never writes anything to Apple Health.
- Nudge does not keep a history of your health or motion data.
- Health access is optional. If you decline it, Nudge keeps working in a simpler mode.
- Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and is never shared with anyone.
Data stored on your devices
Nudge stores your alarm settings (wake-up times, smart window, repeat days and labels) and the state of the current alarm or nap locally on your devices. This information stays on your devices and is removed when you delete the app.
Sync between iPhone and Apple Watch
If you use the iPhone app, your alarm list (times, repeat days, smart window and labels) is sent to your paired Apple Watch through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This transfer is handled by Apple's operating systems between your own devices. It contains no health data, and we have no access to it.
Your choices
- Health access: on your iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Nudge to allow or revoke access at any time. On Apple Watch, you can also ask again from Nudge's Settings > Request access again.
- Motion access: on your iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness.
- Delete your data: delete Nudge from your iPhone and Apple Watch to remove everything it stored.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA in California), you have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Because we don't collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export or delete. All the data Nudge uses stays under your control on your own devices. You can still contact us at any time with a question or a request.
Children
Nudge is not directed at children under 13. In any case, the app does not collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Not a medical device
Nudge is not a medical device. It does not diagnose sleep disorders or detect sleep stages with certainty. It estimates a favorable moment to wake you from the signals your Apple Watch makes available.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Nudge handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
